SKB pumps
Self-priming SKB pumps, vortex, ring, with a side channel are used to pump non-aggressive liquids, except fuels. Liquids of a temperature up to 40°C, density 1000 kg/m3, viscosity up to 150 mm2/s, contaminated with traces of solid firm particles of the size up to 0.5 mm can be pumped. These pumps can provide initial air pressure in a tank and supply air to a tank together with liquid by using a check inspiration vent. Their applications include: water supply automates and systems and other remote controlled equipment. They can also work in portable equipment, and slight leakage on hoses or connections does not cause significant work disturbances. The greatest advantage of SKB pumps is their ability for automatic suction, without a need to fill the suction hose with liquid.
Typical self-priming pump applications
Self-priming vortex pumps are used to pump clean water from tanks and shallow dug wells, in which the water level is at the maximum depth of 7 m from the ground surface.
A basic advantage of a dug well with a self-priming pump is a low cost of such investment. Household water demand frequently fluctuates. Therefore, to ensure optimum self-priming pump operations, use of water system automates (pump + hydrophore tank + protection and control system). Protection and control systems protect a pump motor against short-circuit, phase failure, overload, supply asymmetry or dry work consequences.
Water supply for households
Self-priming pumps are also used in water supply systems providing water for houses and residential estates.
Irrigating systems
Self-priming pumps are used in irrigation systems for crops and green areas.
Main advantages of Hydrovacuum self-priming pumps:
• guaranteed many years of reliable work
• easy access to spare parts
• execution of individual requirements and product customisation to customer requirements
• continual technical supervision, and guarantee and post-guarantee technical servicing
• low purchase and operation costs
• long life cycle in difficult operating conditions.
